Karnataka State Open University
(KSOU), Mysuru, is a State Public University established under the Karnataka
State Legislature. The KSOU Act was enacted in 1992, and the university came
into force on 1 June 1996. It was carved out of the University of Mysore's
Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education.
The university primarily focuses on
Open and Distance Learning (ODL) to provide higher education opportunities to
