Eligibility / Educational Qualification

Candidates should carefully check the eligibility requirements before submitting their application.

Who Can Apply?

The recruitment is intended for retired Short Service Commission Officers (SSCOs) from:

  • Indian Army
  • Indian Navy
  • Indian Air Force
  • Indian Coast Guard

Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed qualification, professional training, experience and age requirements.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have:

  • A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • The prescribed Basic ATC Course / ATM and AL (Basic) and GCA/ATSS Course.

Experience

Applicants must have:

  • At least 5 years of cumulative experience in ATC duties.
  • At least 1 year of ATC duty experience at a Joint User Defence Airfield.

 

Age Limit

The maximum age for applying is 50 years as on 1 October 2026.

In addition, the period between retirement from the Indian Armed Forces and the last date of application should not exceed 6 years.

Any extension of the consultancy cannot continue beyond the age of 55 years.

 

Salary / Pay Scale

The engagement carries a fixed monthly remuneration calculated according to the applicable DoPT guidelines. The amount is arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement.

The fixed remuneration remains unchanged during the contract period and does not carry an annual increment.

Other applicable conditions include:

  • HRA is not admissible.
  • Transport allowance is provided according to the prescribed conditions.
  • TA/DA for official tours, wherever applicable, is governed by the relevant rules.
  • TDS will be deducted from the remuneration.
