SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 – 1871 Sub-Inspector Posts, Apply Online

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026 for eligible candidates.  The recruitment covers Sub-Inspector (Executive) posts in Delhi Police, Sub-Inspector (GD) posts in CAPFs, and Sub-Inspector (Fire) posts in CISF. A total of 1,871 tentative vacancies has been notified.

Eligible candidates can apply online for the SSC CPO 2026 recruitment from 10 September 2026 to 30 September 2026 through the official SSC website or the mySSC mobile application. The Computer Based Examination date will be announced separately by SSC.

Application Fee

The SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 application fee is ₹100 for candidates who are required to pay the fee. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST and eligible Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from payment of the application fee.

Vacancy Details

The SSC CPO 2026 notification contains 1,871 tentative vacancies. The vacancies are distributed among Delhi Police, CAPFs and CISF Fire posts.

Eligibility and Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification

For Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs, candidates should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Candidates who are in the final year of their degree programme can also apply, provided they meet the conditions mentioned in the official notification.

For SI (Fire) in CISF, the notification specifies a separate educational requirement involving a science degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or the prescribed engineering diploma route. Candidates should check the official notification for the complete post-specific requirement.

Male candidates applying for SI (Executive) in Delhi Police must also possess the prescribed valid LMV driving license for motorcycle and car by the stage specified in the recruitment notice.

Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 1 August 2026.

Salary / Pay Scale

The Sub-Inspector posts covered under SSC CPO 2026 carry Pay Level-6, with a pay scale of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
