Eligibility / Educational Qualification

Applicants must have already obtained the required qualification on or before the notification date, 21 August 2026.

Educational Qualification

For most trades, candidates must:

  1. Have passed Matriculation/Class 10th under the 10+2 system from a recognized Board.
  2. Have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation.
  3. Possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, affiliated with NCVT/SCVT as applicable.

Special qualification conditions apply to certain trades. For example, Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology) requires Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with the specified marks requirement. Candidates should check the official notification for the trade-specific requirements.

Candidates whose Class 10th or ITI results were still awaited on 21 August 2026 are not eligible. Engineering degree and diploma holders are also not eligible under this particular apprenticeship notification.

Salary / Stipend

This recruitment is for apprenticeship training, not a regular permanent Railway post. Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend at the prescribed rate under the applicable rules and Railway Board directives.
